Sales from the EDGE
Breaking Through the "White Noise" Of Selling on the Net
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
From time to time, the EDGE publishes important updates that
you need to SELL on the Net. Most "latest and greatest" Net
marketing and sales developments simply waste our time.
Today's "hot new technology" is tomorrow's "whatever
happened to?"
Occasionally, though, something comes along that STICKS.
When that happens, the EDGE cuts through all the "white
noise" of Web marketing. It explains each important new
development and outlines clearly how you can best take
advantage of it.
SALES FROM THE EDGE is sent *ONLY* to owners of SiteSell
products.
Want an important new technology that's going to STICK? Our
first server-side software release just hit the e-street.
And it hit it running.
We already have one big company making BIGGER inquiries (no,
we're not for sale). It's called Make Your Price Sell! and
if *YOU* sell a product or service, I know two things about
you...
1) You've never seen anything like this (unless you're GE)
2) You need this -- odds are that your current price is
not extracting full value from your product.
Make Your Price Sell! Launches... Buy Now, Pay Maybe!
As one VIP said to me in private conversation...
"This is software that could actually make a difference."
There is nothing like MYPS!. Finding your perfect price
could literally double or triple your profits. At a
minimum, it will confirm that you're doing the right thing
-- and piece of mind is a valuable thing.
Up until now, a good pricing consultant would cost you
thousands of dollars. And that means that they were out of
reach of most companies. Not any more! Come see how you
can put one of those consultants "in a box," at your beck
and call...
http://myps.sitesell.com/
Make sure you click on the Order button to read all about
the unique "Buy Now - Pay Maybe" offer. It's quantum leaps
ahead of any money-back guarantee you'll ever see. If you
don't find any value in MYPS!, you don't pay!
https://secure.sitesell.com/myps/myps-order.html
How good is MYPS!? Well, let me put in this way. Have you
ever used something that was so useful that you quickly came
to ask yourself, "What did we ever do before it?"
That's MYPS! I've used it twice so far. I can't imagine not
using it for every single new product launch.
"I Survived Ken's Post-Vacation Delete Button"
The family and I spent Easter eating, playing and sleeping
with the sounds and smells and air of Thoreau's Cape Cod
(summer is no time to be there). Relaxing, recharging,
neuron-cooling time.
While we were away, support handled all my e-mail -- no
point in ruining it all with a laptop. However, my e-zines
(well over 200 by now!) all arrive at a totally different
domain address, set aside specifically for this.
-----SIDEBAR-----
Actually, I use a trick that I recently learned from our
very own subscribers...
I noticed that many people subscribe to our free e-zine,
SITE-SELL!, using an address like "sitesell@SomeDomain.com"
or "sitesell@AnotherDomain.com." Why would they do that?
Because...
If they ever get spam at "sitesell@SomeDomain.com," they'll
know that Ken Evoy sold their address to a spammer. And
they'll complain loud and long.
What a great idea to catch unethical behavior.
(A catchall account is the way to do this. You don't
actually create new accounts. Any address with any word
before the "@," followed by your domain, goes to the single
catchall account -- ask your Webmaster if this is confusing.)
-----SIDEBAR-----
Anyway, I had to be ruthless when I got back -- my mailbox
was jammed tight. And that's when I got a minor
brainstorm...
People often e-mail to ask what are my favorite e-zines. I
figured this was a terrific opportunity to figure which ones
really *DO* mean the most to me. So I made a list of the
e-zines that did not suffer from that nasty DELETE button.
And I paid attention to which ones survived during the weeks
that followed. Here they are, the cream of the cream of the
crop, the e-zines that survived the "DELETE" button...
If I was only allowed to subscribe to one e-zine about
Ralph Wilson's Web Marketing Today
Ralph Wilson's Web Commerce Today
http://www.wilsonweb.com/wct/
For those who don't know... WMT is about marketing and is
free, while WCT is about selling on the Net -- it's the best
$49.95 that you'll spend on the Net.
Ralph ignores the quick flash-in-the-pan stuff, writes
totally original, well-researched material, and even throws
in the most comprehensive collection of on-site articles
that you'll find anywhere.
An official Net treasure.
Two best "basics"...
Ralph has launched another e-zine, Doctor Ebiz... brief,
no-nonsense answers to common questions...
http://www.doctorebiz.com/
And Audri & Jim Lanford cover important questions from
entrepreneurs with AskNetrageous.com...
http://www.asknetrageous.com/
Ralph and the Lanfords are smart and experienced. They tie
their useful answers up with such neat bows that I can't
resist opening their wonderful gifts.
Associateprograms.com
Tight, readable, and useful, Allan Gardyne is an original
thinker who always delivers outstanding information. If you
have any interest in the affiliate distribution model, this
is *THE* must-read.
--
ClickZ
http://www.clickz.com/
A solid lineup of outstanding thinkers. I never miss what
Joel Gehman has to say about managing affiliate programs,
nor what Nick Usborne has to say about *ANYTHING*! And Dana
Blankenhorn, whether you agree or disagree with him, will
always cause your neurons to spin a bit faster!
You'll often pick up on new concepts and trends here first.
Out there on the edge.
SearchEngineWatch.com
http://searchenginewatch.com/
Like Ralph, Danny Sullivan has a free and a paid e-zine.
They are both invaluable. *THE* search engine resource.
Solid, smart, plugged in. These two cover all you need
to know about search engines.
Jakob Neilsen is the master of usability. 'Nuff said.
Jesse Berst's AnchorDesk
http://www.zdnet.com/anchordesk/whoiswe/subscribe.html
Jesse Berst consistently provokes me to think about the
bigger picture. And he writes the best teasers in the
business -- for those of you who like to pull your readers
to the site from your e-zines, watch how a master does it.
Larry Chase's Web Digest For Marketers
http://wdfm.com/
I read this to absorb "great use of the Net" sites. I'm
always looking for concepts to adapt for our own use. Larry
saves me hours of surfing my finding that sharp, cutting
edge for me.
Got something to sell on the Net? Paul Lang's missive
A whole host of good contributors, anchored by Michel
teaches me something.
Phil Wiley's All the Secrets
http://www.ozemedia.com
Six months ago, this would not have made the list. But
Phil's newsletter has been improving by leaps and bounds.
Even if I don't have the time, I STILL read it. Phil's the
street fighter of the group. It's rough, raw, and fresh.
eBoz
http://www.eboz.com/
It's pretty hard to duplicate the incredible writing of
Michael Wong. So eBoz is not quite as good as when he wrote
it all by himself. But it's still a good, solid read.
