4) Watch their sites die slow deaths of neglect, due to lack
of traffic.

5) Wonder what went wrong.

They never had a chance since they used the wrong process. 
They started BACKWARD, at the end...

And they probably didn't have the right tools to carry out
their plans either!

Success is NOT about "putting up a site."  It's not about
hosting.    It doesn't start with the cash register.

It *IS* about understanding THE FUNDAMENTAL REALITY of how
people use the Net, and proceeding accordingly.  It *IS*

Why does the "put up a site and set up the cash register 
approach" fail so miserably?

Simple... these sites are designed to look great and to 
make the sale, not to deliver what your prospective 
customer seeks online... information.

So what happens?

Well, because these sites contain virtually no information,
no material that will deliver interested buyers-to-be from
the Search Engines, they don't get any traffic.  Even if the
Webmaster tries to compensate by spending on advertising,
it's a tough, expensive way to build a business... too much
so for most small businesses.

And it's much harder to moneteize an "advertised" visitor.
Without quality content to build trust and establish
credibility, visitors will be reluctant to purchase.

In the end, the results are always the same.  
 
The site doesn't make the sale.  The Web site dies.

Two important considerations...

1) You need traffic to sell.  Without it, the best
fulfillment system, credit card clearing and fraud checking
services are useless.  Heck, does a $20,000 Web site even
exist if no one visits?

2) Offline, doing business is all about "location,
location, location."  Build an attractive store selling
appealing merchandise in a busy area of town, and BINGO --
sales are virtually guaranteed due to passerby traffic!  

However...  

Most small business people make the mistake of taking the
"location, location, location" mindset with them as they
move online.  That's a problem... there are no browsing,
shopping visitors waltzing by your Web site in cyberspace. 
In other words, "location" no longer matters.

What matters is...

"Information, information, information!"

Information that...

o  provides CONTENT = the answers and solutions to the what
your potential clients seek

o  builds targeted TRAFFIC to your site

o  credentializes your business, your service, your
products, establishes a unique relationship with the
visitor, and builds trust and confidence ("PREselling").

And THAT brings us back to The Netwriting Masters Course.

As you can see, the first three SBI! steps involve a
