Wow!  You have no idea how that kind of e-mail keeps me so
excited about Site Build It!.  It's a powerful tingle to
know we are impacting people's businesses, and therefore
their lives, in such a positive manner.

And please allow me to address one point in that e-mail
where I interpret that he'll be buying MYCPS! for his
children.  I had said this in our launch issue of MYCPS!...

their children.  So please do MAKE AND GIVE copies to your
children.  I'm appalled at how badly people write, and it's
not getting better in our schools.  It's my small way of
empowering YOU to do something about it.

Normally, I insist on valuing the Intellectual Property of
others.  So if anyone wants to do a friend or colleague a
favor, that person should be willing to pay the $9.95.  But
please, FEEL FREE TO GIVE IT to your children.

Other than MYCPS!?  Things have been pretty quiet, boring
even, around here.  ;-)  A few things worth mentioning...

1) SBI! Forums -- a private forum for SBIers only.  This
forum is visited by thousands of motivated, interesting and
helpful SBIers each and every day.  Their sole goal?  Help
and be helped.  What an amazing resource!

And now... we cull the best posts and include them as
DebsTips in our near-weekly SBIX (which really is the only
e-zine you'll ever need to read).  Debs recently demo'd an
experiment in Google AdSense ad placement and proved how to
triple ClickThrough Rate.  Only in SBIX.

The new results.sitesell.com site is up.  And every site
tells a story... actually results.sitesell.com is literally
full of hundreds of happy stories.  Which is why we put so
much time and energy into rotating sites in and out.

As you can imagine, results.sitesell.com is not a 10-minute
update.  Pruning it down to even 400 sites and then putting
the page together is, to say the least, arduous.  But...

When I review some of these sites, I realize that I'd pit
the 400 sites on this page vs. the entire DMOZ directory.
Heck, Google should give BIG points for making it here!  :-)

I'd go so far as to say that those who use SBI! to execute
the C-T-P-M process are actually about two light years ahead
of the SEO experts, who constantly fret over exact keyword
densities and a thousand other minutiae, trying to SIMULATE
reality and meet the engines' algorithms.

Because they start *AT* reality!  No point in going into the

up the whole issue of MSN's impending launch of their very
own Search Engine.  And what did all this prove to me?

That "The Long Term Future Of Free CTPM Traffic" is indeed
very, very rosy.  Let's see what I mean by showing you the
letter, and then looking at the MSN's latest beta...

Massimo was writing in response to an article in the Site
Build It! Xpress e-zine, in which we covered the new MSN
release (at that time).  They have JUST released an even
more up-to-date version, with 5 billion pages now indexed...

Our original article (on the earlier beta release) included
VERY detailed information on how to optimize SBI! sites
specifically for MSN.  And now that the new beta is out,
we'll address optimization again.  The gist of all the
tweaking that has to be done for MSN Search is...

Uh... nothing.  At least, that's true for SBI! owners.  Just
sit back and enjoy the results.  That's the bottom line of
SBI! and its CTPM process.  Follow the Guide.  Create great
content that meets SBI!'s "Analyze It!" requirements.  Work
for links and, once you're at 20 pages, register for Value
Exchange (it's all in the Guide!).

If you do this, if you keep it REAL, if you build great
content and follow the Guide and Analyze It!, you almost
can't miss.  The bottom line is... SBI! works.

You're going to be seeing a lot of SEO experts talking about
how to optimize for yet another engine.  Whether "META
keywords" tags are important.  How about "off-page"
criteria?  And on... and on... and on.

Our answer to all that?

C-T-P-M.

Let's look a bit more closely...

MSN has built their own engine, from the ground up.  Unlike
Yahoo!, which merged several technologies onto Inktomi, the
new MSN really is brand-spanking-new.  It has 5 billion
pages, which explains why Google announced yesterday that
THEIR index has grown to 8 billion!  

MSN's latest (and last?) beta release puts it VERY close to
launch date.  The instant it does, it will become one of the
"Big 3," with Yahoo! Search and Google being the other 2 in
this elite grouping.

MSN's latest beta release is at...

Test it yourself, for your own site.

I tested it for a few of the most important keywords of my
daughter's SBI! site, anguilla-beaches.com.  (I'll leave it
to her to do the rest of the checking -- heck, it's not like
she pays me or anything.)  ;-)

Anyway, I tested for her most important words...

Anguilla -- #2 (out of 10,119,197 containing "anguilla")
Anguilla villas -- #5, #6
Anguilla real estate -- #1, #2
Anguilla beaches -- #1, #2, #9
Anguilla art -- #1, 2, and #6
offshore corporation -- #3
offshore companies -- #12

Those last two are also incredibly
competitive, earning her a great deal through
Google AdSense, and we were not even TRYING. 
At first, traffic visited those pages from
other pages.  Now, as her site grows in
strength, she's scoring for words that are
more and more competitive.

So what did she do to get these excellent results (which are
even better than she gets at Google and Yahoo!, where she 
was already doing very well)?

Nothing.  Not a blasted thing.  Nada.  Rien.  Zip.

And that's the whole point of SBI!.  Create great content.
Make sure it fits with Analyze It!'s assessment (experiment
a bit, as outlined in the Action Guide).  Then...

Do NOT tweak -- you'll be far better off with more content
than constantly trying to keep up with the latest engine's
algorithms.  "SIMULATING reality" is a sucker's game that 
dooms you to the SEO treadmill -- keep it REAL, and win.

Clearly, that is truer now than ever, with MSN about to add
one more important Search Engine into the mix.

Be careful about what you read in the coming weeks...

You'll be reading all kinds of Search Engine Optimization
gurus explaining/selling all kinds of strategies and tools
for optimizing specifically for MSN.  Heck, I wouldn't be
surprised if some of them even go back to the old strategy
of creating a different site, one for each engine!

Instead, SBIers keep it real.  And so, as things change, we
STILL do well.  We do BETTER actually, and I expect that to
continue.  With 4 big engines, and with the algorithms
becoming more and more complex, they are all becoming
better at recognizing REALITY. 

It's so much simpler and more pleasant, more genuine and
rewarding, to focus on content and business, rather than
contemplating the exact keyword density in our navels.

As I write this, the MSN beta search is very slow.  Know
why?  Two reasons...

1) It's beta.  So they probably aren't devoting full
hardware to it yet.

2) The SEO guys are working 24 x 7 trying to figure out all
the variables, hitting MSN thousands and thousands of times.

I did the 7 searches you see above.  Then I wrote this
article.  I don't even check Nori's rankings any more.
Neither does she.  She writes a good page.  I help her
improve it for HUMANS, not for engines.  Then she builds it.

Yes, there are things that you do have to get right at the
engines.  And SBI! leads you through those by the hand.

But do you know the "razor blade" that separates SBIers from
the rest of the pack... including most SEO experts?

Human behavior.

SBI! sites are real.  They smell real.  You visit and you
know that a real person knows his "island of expertise" and
loves it.  That is what PREselling is all about.

After that, human behavior tells the engines all they need
to know.  SBI! sites attract inbound links.  They result in
longer stays away from the engines (remember the old Direct
Hit technology -- it's still an important off-page factor).

Bottom line?  SBIers have all the pleasure, AND all the
effectiveness of BEING real, instead of the tedium and
ineffectiveness of SIMULATING reality.

That's all.  You see, I'm a business person.  SBI! delivers
so I don't have to worry about all the fine SEO details.

I can almost guarantee you that Nori and I spend less time
on SEO'ing our pages than anyone reading this.  Most of the
time, Nori doesn't even "Analyze It!."  (I know because of the
occasional fundamental boo-boo she makes that Analyze It!
would never let pass.)

Take This "Attitude Test"...

Are you worried about "yet another" major Search Engine?  All
the work and bother of tweaking and tracking for one more
engine?  If so...

You are on the wrong path.

The more engines, the merrier.  The basic SBI! principles
will continue to stand us in good stead for years to come.
SBIers will score well at 2 or 3 out of the 4 engines at any
given time (as a worst case), assuring a steady flow of free
traffic... the lifeblood of any small business.

Meanwhile the "SEO pros" sweat over new engines, Google
Dances, Yahoo! Burps, and now they get to worry about how
many keywords they can fit onto the head of the MSN pin. ;-)

Instead, keep your life simple and fun, REAL and REWARDING.
