Creative Whack Pack
I used to keep a set of special idea-stimulating cards,
known as the "Creative Whack Pack," on my desk. Whenever
I would remember to do so, I would turn over a new card.
Usually, the card's content would send my mind off and
running in an interesting direction. The cards really do
invigorate the mind!

For example, the idea for Site Build It!'s
Ultimate Verticalizer brainstorming tool was
born when I came across the "See the obvious"
card that speaks to using what is right in
front of you. Well...

So why do I no longer have these cards on my desk?
Simple reason... I've gone high-tech. My Creative Whack
Pack is now on my computer!
Here's how you can set up your own online pack of
idea-generators...
1) Download Yahoo! Widgets (the previous Konfabulator) at...

2) Then go to...
http://widgets.yahoo.com/gallery/?search=Web+Images&x=0&y=0"
... and download Web Images widget.
Once you have it installed...
3) Create a rotating set of Whack Pack cards on your desktop
by doing the following...
i) Open the Web Images widget and Alt-click (Option-click in
Mac) on the + sign in the widget menu at the bottom of the
window (this will edit the boat photo) and enter the
following...

ii) Leave the other boxes empty and click "Save."
By the way, you can customize the preferences of this widget
according to your wishes (ex., frequency of image rotation).

by going to this page and right-clicking on each image.
Fast and easy installation! You too can have a revolving
set of Whack cards on your computer. And here's why I love
this new format... the cards come to you, often when you
don't expect it (ex., closing an overlying window).
