Each year I look back and can hardly believe how much we've
added to SBI!. And each year, SBIers do better and better.
Naturally, after all those new features, we raise the price

My congratulations to all who had the courage to enter. The
courage to TRY, to take a chance, to be seen.... to learn a

is to gain (customer delight!).
Nori, my daughter, who is studing film at junior college, and
I spent a delightful Sunday afternoon evaluating the
entries. We narrowed the list down to 55 videos for the
first round of cuts, all vying for the $10,000 Golden Viddie.

Music Sources for Your Videos
Music can enhance any videos that you produce.
Background music can create the right mood to suit
your message. And it may mask the occasional stray
noise picked up by the mic when recording.
Whatever your reason for using music in your videos, you
need to keep it legal. Using a song or other music without
permission can, at best, result in you being forced to
remove the video from your site and/or from a video hosting
site like YouTube.
There are three ways to add music to your site legally...
o Ask permission of the songwriter or musician who created
the music. This can be a time-consuming task, but it may
be the only one available if you want to use a specific song.
o Download free music from one of the many sites that
provide it.
o Purchase royalty-free music.

Royalty-Free Music
------------------
You can also purchase music for a one-time fee rather than
paying ongoing royalties. This allows you to use the song
or audio track for a specific purpose for a specific length of
time. The more commercial the use, and the longer the
time period you want to use it, the more you will pay for
the music.
This music is generally songs (music and lyrics), whereas
free downloads are usually short audio tracks created using
electronic equipment.
