The Internet. Network Marketing.
Hand-in-Glove Fit, or Catch-22?
Yes, these two concepts, the Internet and Network Marketing
(NM), SHOULD go together, but instead, most MLMers, or
Network Marketers, have not realized the near-infinite
networking and lead-generating potential of the Web.
As an NMer, if you want an online presence, you're required to
build a replicated site offered by your MLM company. And then,
when the site brings no leads, you're forced to buy high priced
but overused MLM leads that have zero conversion rates.
Then there's the three foot rule. You're taught by your
upline to speak about your opportunity to everyone within a
three foot radius of you -- family, friends, complete
strangers. This leads to embarrassment, rejection, and
humiliation.
It does NOT have to be that way.
Instead...
o Build your own online businesses, with MLM as just ONE of
the monetization strategies you use.
o Create a Web site that generates warm, genuine leads for
your opportunity, leads who are contacting you, asking for
more information.
o Build relationships by offering information instead of
"opportunities"and products.
The time is right to free yourself of your company's
restrictions and control your own destiny.
Let's call this new NM "InterNETwork Marketing." Both use
the four steps for successful marketing...
Step 1) Recruiting/generating leads/building relationships.
Step 2) Sales conversion.
Step 3) Ongoing consumption or use.
Step 4) Replicating your actions and success through downline
motivation and training.
But Network Marketing's history shows that NM is not generating
successful marketing. So where do NM and InterNETwork
Marketing differ? In Steps 1 and 4.
Step 1 --> The traditional Network Marketing approach to lead
generation is to think up a list of 200 or so people -- immediate
family, distant family, high school friends you haven't seen or
spoken to for 15 years, co-workers, former co-workers, and on
and on. The InterNETwork Marketing approach uses your
expertise and knowledge to find the leads for you.
For example...
Build a Web site that talks about how you've helped yourself or
a family member overcome an illness or lifelong condition. Offer
your site's visitors a solution. As they continue reading, you
begin to develop a relationship with them.
Slowly, over the next month or two, a momentum starts to
build. You wake up to find one or two warm leads in your
inbox each day. Soon, it's four or five, each one interested in
what you're saying and in what you're offering.

Now for that second area of difference...
Step 4 --> Replicating yourself in the traditional NM world means
call after motivational call to each member of your downline,
lifting them up when they're feeling down, and urging them
even higher when they've had a success.
With InterNETwork Marketing, it's easy to replicate your
actions and success since you can provide specific tools, and
instructions for using them effectively, to your downline. By
following you step-by-step, they will replicate you.
