Exclusive Tip For Exclusive Content

Written By: SiteSell in Solid Performers | January 18, 2013

Facebook "best practices" advice varies widely between experts. There is one rule though that gets a gold star from everyone… share unique content with your fans.

For 2 gold stars and even bigger smiles from your fans, create high-value, exclusive content that is available only on your Facebook Page.

Are you ready to aim higher? Sometimes all it takes is one example to get your creative juices flowing. Check out this 2-star worthy idea…

Creating and Marketing Your Own E-Goods

Last week, we invited three experts on e-goods creation and marketing, Shelley Hitz, Shaun Fawcett, and Bryan Cohen, to answer your questions during a live Q&A here at SiteSell Facebook. If you missed the live session, here is the next best thing. We collected all the questions and answers and put them in an easy-to-read PDF file. Download the file here…

Even if you attended the live event, the questions came so fast and furious that it would've been difficult to keep up. Download the PDF file for your records.

All the best,

P.S.: Make sure to share this post on your timeline or with anyone who might be interested in creating their own e-business.

Facebook Lesson

Facebook is the ideal platform for holding a "live" Q&A session. Here's how it works…

1) Identify a topic related to your niche or industry.

2) Invite one or several guest experts to share their knowledge and experience about this topic.

3) Plan for a 60- 90 minute session. During this time period, your fans post their questions to your Wall and the guest experts answer them via  comments. You can also collect questions prior to the event and re-post them – together with the answers – during the live session.

Why do we recommend Q&A sessions?

We find that they are excellent activity boosters for our Page.  There is always a flurry of new fans on and around the event day.

But why stop there? Go for the big bang. Compile all of the text questions and answers into a word document. Now convert that doc into a PDF file and then offer it to your community as a free e-book download.

Even though you might not get a high number of likes for the Q&A follow-up post that announces the new e-book, the comments show how much your "hard core" fans appreciate this kind of helpful content.

OK, two final tips before we let you go…

Tip #1: Encourage your readers to share the PDF with their friends or followers, like Christian does in his "P.S." in the sample post above.

Tip #2: Create a "Free Resources" custom tab for your Facebook Page to make your exclusive content permanently available to your community. For an example, check out the "Free Resources" tab at SiteSell Facebook…
